Vintage-Inspired Blue Akoya Pearl Ring in Yellow Gold

SKU: 017-02616

$599
A 8-8.5mm cultured baroque blue akoya pearl is set in a vintage-inspired solitaire style. The pearl has a clean surface and a lovely silvery-blue lustre.

The ring is made from 9ct yellow gold and features fleur-de-lis and scroll detailing underneath, in a reference to times past. The pearl is attached to a threaded post and surrounded by four claws for additrional security.

Blue akoya pearls are rare and occur accidentally during the pearl culturing process. Blue akoya pearls have been around since pearl culturing began in the 1920's however were discarded for not being the ideal white. However pearl lovers are now increasingly attracted to unique beauty of these naturally-coloured pearls.
