9ct Unheated Oval Tanzanite & Diamond Ring

An oval unheated 1.73ct natural tanzanite measuring 9 x 7mm is surrounded by 38 claw-set diamonds equalling 0.22cts in a halo and diamond-set shoulder design. The ring is made from 9ct white gold and has a clean and simple side-detail.
The tanzanite was hand-picked by our team of gemmologists. It has not been subjected to heat treatments of any kind, and is in its natural state. The gem exhibits a natural phenomenon called pleochroism which is a physical property in which the gem appears to be different colours when viewed from different crystallographic directions. The dominant colour is blue, however there are flashes of green and violet as the ring moves in the light. It is a singular creation.
