18ct Pink Tourmaline, Pink Sapphire & Diamond Ring

An oval buff-top natural pink tourmaline weighing 4.2cts is bezel-set with 0.65 carats of round brilliant-cut diamonds and accented by four natural pink sapphires. The ring is made from 18ct rose and white gold and is solid construction. The top is set low to the finger for comfort and balance.

This design was a colaboration with our Client following her purchase of the pink tourmaline from the wide range of loose gemstones we carry in stock. The brief was for a show-stopper that highlighted the warm tones and unusual cut of the tourmaline. We set all the diamonds except for the four corners, giving our client the opportunity to view the nearly-completed piece and to choose between pink sapphires and diamonds in a final design flourish.

The ring was sketched by hand, manufactured using our CAD process and then assembled and finished by hand. Due to the intricacy of the design, we opted to show our client a resin model before making the ring in gold. It appears on our website with the consent of the owner.
